Science Café returns to Norman Public Library Thursday, February 4th at 7 p.m.
Our guest speaker will be Dr. David Sabatini, Director of the OU WaTER Center. Dr. Sabatini's topic will be the OU WaTER Center: Water for Health, Education, Development and Peace in Developing Countries.
The WaTER Center's mission is: To help solve drinking water and sanitation challenges for impoverished regions in developing countries through innovative teaching and research initiatives. Their vision is a world where all mankind has access to safe and reliable drinking water.
You are invited and encouraged to attend Science Café Norman and be a part of this fascinating community science discussion. This program is free, open to the public and is sponsored by the Friends of the Norman Public Library. Coffee and snacks will be provided.
Science cafés are a nation-wide grassroots movement that features a casual meeting environment where plain language and inclusive conservation create a comfortable atmosphere for people with no science background to learn about ongoing scientific research.
