Children making dream pillows, nocturnal toad houses in Purcell
Purcell - Summer Reading - Children
The Purcell Public Library invites children up to age 12 for a pair of craft programs at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 19, at the library, 919 N. Ninth St.
Ages 8-12 will be “Tween Dreamin’” by making dream pillows and worry dolls they can take home. They also will learn the story behind these cultural items and how children around the world use them to reduce their worries.
And younger children will continue their “Trash to Treasure” series with a make-and-take activity featuring coffee cans that they can make into a nocturnal toad house for their outdoor amphibian friends.
All supplies for the programs are provided by the library, courtesy the support of the City of Purcell and the Friends of the Purcell Library.
Registration is not required to attend.
