Norman to present film camps for tweens, teens

The Norman Public Library is giving fifth and sixth graders an introduction to movie making at its Tween Film Camp, at 2 p.m. June 11-13 in the Computer Training Center of the library, 225 N. Webster Ave.

The three sessions will focus on writing, directing and editing to produce a one-minute movie.

The following week, the same subject matter is turned over to teens, ages 12-17. They’ll be invited to attend at 2 p.m. June 17-19 to produce their own movie.

And both groups will come back to the library to show off their finished movies at a video screening premiere party at 6 p.m. Friday, June 20.

The programs are part of the library’s continuing series of events during its Summer Reading Program throughout June and July.

Space is limited so registration is required in advance to take part.

For more information, visit the library or call 701-2600.
