Group brings "Laser Games" to Norman teens
Norman - Summer Reading - Teens
The hunt is on. Your heart is pounding, and your opponent is out there … somewhere. You’re crouched in a dark spot, ready to defend yourself and waiting for that moment to strike, lest your foe strike first.
As much popularity as Suzanne Collins’ The Hunger Games trilogy has, particularly among young adults, it’s not likely a Teen Summer Reading Program re-enacting scenes like that one is coming anytime soon. Or ever.
But the Norman Public Library is partnering with Mobile Laser Forces for what might be the next best thing – laser tag, as part of the program “Laser Games Own the Night.” The program takes place at a special after-hours time, 8 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at the library, 225 N. Webster Ave.
The program is for ages 12 through 18, and signatures are required on two waivers, one provided by PLS and another by Mobile Laser Forces, to participate. The PLS Waiver and Release form is available online here .
