Storyteller to spin tales from Oklahoma's past
Newcastle - Summer Reading - Children
Greg Rodgers brings a background in storytelling and writing as he looks back at legends and tales from Oklahoma’s past.
Rodgers is a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and has spent years crafting stories and gathering legends from the state into two books and many hours of creative storytelling, some of which he will share during his appearance at the Newcastle Public Library at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 27.
Rodgers will involve members of the audience in a program that includes several songs and a look at some traditional musical instruments.
