"Critter Tales" coming to McLoud

McLoud - Summer Reading - Children

Jennifer LanceJennifer Lance is dreaming big. She has a vision for bringing awareness and education about the animals around us, and she’s making that vision come true with programs all over the state of Oklahoma.

The founder and director of “Critter Tales” will bring some of her animal friends into the Pioneer Library System’s Summer Reading Program this July. Critter Tales comes to the McLoud Public Library at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 12, with the program taking place at the McLoud Board of Education Building, south of the library at 117 N. Main St.

Critter Tales brings not just the tales of the animals and what makes them special, but also hands-on artifacts such as owl wings or talons that audience members can handle.

“People are having fun but learning something important at the same time,” Lance says.
