Dig Into Dinnner Food for Thought Learning Institute offers a lecture/cooking demonstration for families who want to eat well on a budget. The chefs engage children in some simple food preparation while parents focus on exciting and healthy meals. Limited seating: registered guests will be seated first.

Rilla Askew Oklahoma author Rilla Askew returns to tour the Pioneer hometown libraries after a national book tour for Kind of Kin, her fourth novel. Join the discussion about the book that was inspired by 2007 Oklahome immigration laws and the impact upon those personally affected by the legislation.

It's a Brass Family Affair when the Boulevard Brass Quintet provides a delightful introduction to the brass family of instruments and the music they make in a program for children and parents. The group will also have fun providing sound effects and musical illustration of a favorite storybook. After the entertainment, families can learn to make their own musical instruments.

Don't Daub Dirt! Dig Into Reading! Al Bostick's rollicking theatrical rendition of an African folk tale about a dirt dauber who learns a lesson will entertain and educate. Al Bostick is a favorite for summer fun; he is a member of the Oklahoma Arts Council Touring and Teaching Artsist rosters.
